Jesus came to reveal the truth to us about God. As a child in the temple, Jesus began teaching this truth, and previous to that time until now, truth has not changed.
Today, Jesus still teaches in the temple of our souls, but only through the humility of a child can we gain understanding.
Truth is not something we can invent. There is no, ‘my truth’ or ‘your truth’; there is but one Truth, Jesus Christ Himself. (John 14:6)
Without listening to the Divine Teacher dwelling in our soul, we will choose what suits us, and believe lies about what is right and what is wrong. The farther we veer from Christ’s teachings, the farther we are from absolute truth. The outcome is a restless, proud and confused state of soul.
Furthermore, staying close to the Divine Teacher helps us to advance in truth — and with truth comes peace, humility and understanding. Clearly, the Truth will set us free. (John 8:32)
